Set in the furthest reaches of the park, not far from Silale Swamp, gives Oliver’s once of the best locations of any of the camps in the park. This region has a huge range of different topographies with the swampland providing a cooling break for the animals from the midday sun and so it is, very much a mecca for animals of all types while being a long way from the busier northern reaches of the park.
Each of these permanent thatched rooms, with tented sides, offers great views out to the surrounding plains and is a cool and tranquil place to spend a few days. For those that prefer not to shower under the stars the nearby Little Oliver’s may be a wiser choice as the main camp only has outdoor showers but, other than this, they couldn’t be bettered. The team at Oliver’s have worked together for years, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Small groups may want to consider staying at Little Oliver’s, a 5-tent area of the camp offset about a kilometer away from the main area. Join us for delicious meals and interesting conversation in the main lodge and sundowners under the stars.
